RICHARD LONG

This poster is inspired on the works of land art conceptual artist Richard Long. The idea behind his work is to make clear the imprint of man on nature, by taking elements of nature out of their context and placing them in geometric shapes, such as circles and straight lines. The alphabet can be viewed as such a collection of geometric shapes.

In this design the letters are formed using iron ore stones that were found on a beach, together forming the tekst “walk and mark”. Walk through nature and marked by man is expressed in the composition of this poster by a winding path demarcated by the characters.
